There is little question that the incessantly negative coverage of President Donald Trump by the liberal media has actually backfired and created more Trump supporters.
That appears to be the case for one of the staunchest, most outspoken members of 2016’s #NeverTrump movement — conservative radio host Glenn Beck — who just donned a red MAGA hat and announced Trump has his vote for the 2020 election.

The tweet-trackers at Twitchy noted that Beck had posted to social media Friday a short clip from his program and several follow-up tweets in which he explained why he had made such an unexpected shift in his acceptance of the president he previously despised with a passion.
Beck fully credited his change of opinion about Trump to the liberal media’s constant and insane anti-Trump coverage, most especially the recent uproar over Trump’s “animals” comment in regard to MS-13 gang members.
The media knew they’d taken that remark out of context and falsely applied it to all immigrants, but when called out they merely deleted their tweets and then defended MS-13 as humans not deserving of being called animals.
Even Beck couldn’t fathom that level of blatant anti-Trump hatred, and said as much.
In a series of follow-up tweets in the comments of that post, Beck also pointed to several of Trump’s accomplishments that had also contributed to his shift in opinion.
Those would include Trump’s embrace of Israel, the destabilization of Iran, the movement of North Korea toward peace talks, the virtual destruction of the Islamic State group and the improving economy/tax cuts.
To be sure, Beck still took issue with what he perceived as Trump’s “inexcusable” personal flaws, but felt the accomplishments combined with the negative media coverage outweighed those.

The hateful and deliberate smears of Trump, as well as the perception that liberals were siding with MS-13 and Hamas/Iran over Americans/Israel, was simply too much for him to bear.
Though Beck will no doubt receive quite a bit of criticism from all sides for his apparent change of heart, there are also plenty of folks already on the Trump MAGA train who will gladly welcome him with open arms.
