Leo Terrell walks away from the Democrats

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Well known black civil rights attorney and Fox News contributor Leo Terrell has denounced the Democrat party on the June 12th Sean Hannity show. Terrell appeared with well-known black conservative commentator Larry Elder, to discuss the hypocrisy of the Democrat party with Hannity.

The Democrats hypocrisy in the wake George Floyd’s unjust death has driven Terrell out of the party. The Democrats pretend to be the party that cares about black lives, but Terrell knows that the Democrats have done worse than nothing for the black community. After all, it was Bill Clinton and Joe Biden that signed the 1994 crime bill which many civil rights groups like the ACLU say is responsible for making “mass incarceration” of black men worse.

Hannity, Elder, and Terrell discussed the long record of racism in the Democrat party, including opposition to the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and the racist members of the Democrat party such as Robert Byrd. Elder pointed out that former President Obama’s mother’s family were slave-holders and Nancy Pelosi’s father, a politician in Baltimore, dedicated a statue of a Confederate general. When will the hypocrisy stop?

Terrel said: “This is why I stopped drinking the Democrat Kool-Aid. I can’t take this hypocrisy anymore.”

Terrell also commented on Nancy Pelosi’s recent Kente cloth photo-op stunt, saying, “I don’t need the Democrats to insult me or placate me with African garb, Nancy Pelosi, pass some reforms, show me something other than some condescending act.”

Terrell also strongly encouraged other Democrats to leave the party.

Black voters want law and order in their cities and towns

Terrell also believes that black voters want law and order. He criticized the Democrat mayors in places like Los Angeles and Minneapolis for not calling in the National Guard to stop the looting, saying that they claim they didn’t want to upset the black voters. Terrell said that the mayors and governors were insulting the intelligence of black voters.

Commenting on Mayor Garcetti’s delay in calling in the National Guard to restore order to Los Angeles, he said:

I’ve got news for all you mayors and governors and all these Democrats. Black voters want law and order and the mayor doesn’t get it. The African American community will suffer the most by them allowing them to burn down these cities and these shops down. Those are jobs that blacks will lose. Mr. President, you have demanded the right thing. Use force. People want law and order back in the cities.

More black voices on police de-funding

Sean Hannity had Terrell on with Cornell West a few days before, and the sparks flew and the discussion rapidly degenerated into name-calling, as West called for “defunding” the police, and Terrell fought back saying that defunding the police would make black lives worse. West then called  Terrell a “n—-” and told him to “check yourself, n—-.”  Terrell responded that West had gone off the rails and was/is a dinosaur. Finally, in rejecting West’s position on defunding the police, Terrell said: “I am opposed to defunding the police. We have to protect our black community.”

The biggest news about Leo Terrell’s repudiation of the Democrat party is that he will not vote for Joe Biden. When Hannity asked if he would vote for Donald Trump, Terrell didn’t immediately respond, but he did say he would vote for Donald Trump if Biden picked Kamala Harris as his VP.

Republican gold: a Biden/Harris ticket

So, if Biden picks Harris as his VP, not only will Leo Terrell be voting for Donald Trump, but the Republicans will hit the jackpot as Harris has so many problems related to her “tough on crime” image as a California prosecutor and her long record of cronyism in California.

A Biden/Harris ticket is the best-case scenario for Republican strategists. You can watch Saturday Night Live’s parody of Harris versus former presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard. Gabbard’s attacks on Harris’ record and the SNL skits hurt Harris’ campaign last fall.
