‘Death to the dictator’: Protests plague Iran after regime fails to provide clean water

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Though the mainstream media has tried hard to avoid reporting it, the protests that broke out across Iran at the start of the year continue to roil the streets to this day.

There have been recurring protests and general strikes in a number of cities and towns across Iran, as citizens express their great dissatisfaction with the crumbling Iranian regime, which has now failed to provide clean drinking water to residents in some areas.

Frustrations over clean water

A London-based news editor linked to the National Council of Resistance of Iran named M. Hanif Jazayeri shared a video on Twitter of protesters in the city of Borazjan who had grown incredibly frustrated with a lack of potable water in their city.

After there was no clean water running through the taps for four days, protesters took to the streets to express their displeasure — and one of their chants shockingly included the threat: “Death to the dictator!”

That chant is obviously aimed at the ruling regime of mullahs, and could be construed as focused mainly on leaders like Ayatollah Khomieni and President Hassan Rouhani.

“All hell will break loose”

Aside from the “death to the dictators” chants, protesters also threatened that “all hell will break loose” if the local governor didn’t show up and address their grievances — and the crowd used another chant to accuse leaders of “graft” as being the problem behind their lack of water issue.

The protesters also accused the governor of being “incompetent” and demanded he resign his position.

They also expressed their solidarity with other protesters around the country who refused to be further “humiliated” by the oppressive regime.

Jazayeri noted that some of the chants heard from protesters were similar to those heard from protesters in other cities and regions across the restive nation, leading him to believe there was at least some coordination and organization behind the scattered protests.

This is huge news which signals that time is running short for the oppressive ruling regime of mullahs in the Islamic Republic of Iran — but the U.S. media has largely ignored this consequential development.

All we can do is pray in fervent support of these oppressed individuals as they seek freedom from the anti-American ruling regime that has held them down for so long.
