Fox News host Laura Ingraham was ruthlessly attacked by the anti-gun left not long ago, after she criticized one of the outspoken young Parkland, FL high school students who was thrust upon the national stage as an anti-gun spokesman.
That attack nearly succeeded in driving Ingraham from the airwaves, and now the left is attacking Ingraham in full force again, this time over comparing temporary detention facilities for illegal immigrant children to “summer camp” during her Monday’s edition of her self-titled Fox News program.
Ingraham takes a stand
According to BizPac Review, Ingraham was addressing the “faux liberal outrage” that has erupted in recent weeks over theDonald Trump administration’s “zero tolerance” policy of strictly enforcing immigration laws at the border, which has resulted in children being temporarily separated from their families while their parents are processed and prosecuted.
At one point in the monologue, Ingraham stated: “Consistent with American law, when the parties are arrested, your children are either sent to relatives or they become wards of the state.”
She continued: “Since more illegal immigrants are rushing the border, more kids are being separated from their parents and temporarily housed in what are essentially summer camps or, as the San Diego Union Tribune described them … basically ‘boarding schools.'”

She went on to say that, “having lost the argument, and frankly the last election, liberals have seized on the ‘separated children’ and turned the entire image into a political weapon, attempting to emotionally mutilate the public’s perception of immigration enforcement.”
Summer camp?
In her talk, Ingraham was referring to the fact that the children are only temporarily housed in the detention facilities for a few weeks at most, and receive free clothing, food, education, and entertainment while there — better treatment than millions of impoverished American citizen children receive.
But the “summer camp” reference was too much for the ill-informed, Nazi-obsessed Trump-haters on the left, however, who have been falsely likening the child detention facilities to Nazi-era concentration camps — not-so-subtly implying that the Trump administration is on the verge of gassing and murdering thousands of innocent migrant children.
As such, the left ruthlessly launched an attack on Ingraham, asserting that she is cold-hearted and uncaring about the plight of Central American children — an attack that conveniently ignores the fact that Ingraham is the adoptive mother of three children, one of whom came from Guatemala.
In truth, Ingraham cares a great deal about children and has countered the personal attacks against her by urging her critics to put their hearts and money where their mouths are, to take in and care for the children the right way, if they really care about them so much.

Laura Ingraham is not backing down from the “faux liberal outrage” directed at her, and Fox News is standing in support of her as well, so she will likely survive this renewed progressive assault on her reputation.
But she still needs the support of fans and viewers to withstand the siege.
