The liberal “comedian” host of TBS’ Full Frontal program, Samantha Bee, recently used the still-taboo “c-word” to describe President Donald Trump’s daughter Ivanka in a disgustingly profane monologue.
The reaction from the media has been decidedly muted, at best, compared to typically outraged reactions when right-of-center people cross the line of offense, a double standard that Trump just called out via Twitter.

“Why aren’t they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the horrible language used on her low ratings show?” asked Trump in a tweet on Friday.
“A total double standard but that’s O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!” he added.
According to Newsmax, Bee issued an apology to both Ivanka Trump and her viewers for her coarse and lewd language, and TBS admitted that allowing the terrible insult to make it all the way through production to air was “our mistake, too.”
Yet, it doesn’t appear that Bee will be fired or suspended or suffer any sort of consequence for the outrageous language used to slander and smear the president’s daughter.
In fact, she has received praise and even been honored for her crude choice of words by some liberals and institutions on the left.
Now compare that apparent inaction with regard to Bee to the rapid manner in which Roseanne Barr was summarily fired and had her show cancelled by ABC mere hours after she posted an ill-advised, racist tweet making fun of former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.
Those two incidents happening so close together with such disparate aftermaths revealed the existence of two sets of social rules in America these days, one for favored liberals and another for everybody else.

Like countless other Americans, Trump has seen this liberal double standard at play more often than not, and he has called it out for what it is.
Whether that will compel liberals to actually hold their own side as accountable for their actions as they do others is doubtful, but at least they are on notice that the blatant double standard will no longer go unmentioned.
