President Trump: ‘There will not be a Blue Wave’ in November, ‘but there might be a Red Wave!’

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

President Donald Trump is doing his part to energize Republicans ahead of November’s midterm elections — but it’s not because he believes that there will be a “Blue Wave” of voting that sweeps Democrats into power.

In a tweet on Sunday, President Trump predicted there would be no “Blue Wave” at all, and instead suggested there might be a “Red Wave” of voters who would turn out on Election Day.

Take a look:

Trump sees success

Trump did not specify which poll he was referring to in his tweet, but The Hill referenced both the Gallup weekly tracking poll and the Real Clear Politics average of polls in its report.

Each of these polls showed Trump at a slightly lower approval rating than former President Barack Obama at this point in his presidency.

But Trump may have been referring to the Rasmussen daily tracking poll, which, as of the time of Trump’s tweet, showed that he was two points ahead of Obama at the same point in their terms.

As for the “strong economy” and military Trump spoke of, the president is undoubtedly succeeding with both: his agenda and policies have unleashed the full-fledged economic engine of the U.S., and the military stands better funded and growing stronger than ever.

Making America great

There is no question that a significant portion of the Democratic Party’s base is fired up for the midterm elections, fueled by the constant negativity of the anti-Trump media and dreams of resuming the tried and failed agenda of the previous administration.

But a steady presidential approval rating, a soaring economy, and a strengthened military all take the wind out of the sails of the supposed “Blue Wave” of liberal voters, as does an equal amount of excitement and determination to maintain control of Congress among Republican voters.

While the Democrats have won a few special elections earlier this year and have seen increased turnout in primary elections, Republicans have snagged some important victories themselves, and have also seen higher turnout than usual in most states.

Thus, the vaunted “Blue Wave” — if it should actually materialize — may very well crash into a “Red Wave” of voters, leaving the GOP still in control of Congress — and the president with an evident mandate to proceed along with his agenda.

If that is the case, you can bet Trump will continue on his mission to make America great once again.
