Trump blasts ‘horrible, disgusting conditions’ in Democrat-run cities: ‘We could name one after another’

President Donald Trump recently sparked the ire of Democrats and their media allies when he (accurately) pointed out the corruption, crime, and disgusting “decay” plaguing the Democrat-run city of Baltimore — but despite the backlash, the president hasn’t backed down.

In fact, Trump stepped up his criticisms of the “horrible, disgusting conditions” in several Democrat-run cities at a rally in Cincinnati on Thursday — and he wasn’t afraid to name names.

Calling them out

“Look at them,” Trump said of cities that Democrats have let run rampant with crime, drugs, homelessness, and other atrocities. “We could name one after another, but I won’t do that. Because I don’t want to be controversial. We want no controversy.”

But Breitbart reports that that’s exactly what Trump did.

In addition to Baltimore, the president blasted Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco as examples of the sort of societal devastation that can occur in cities run for decades by self-serving single-party leadership.

Trump pointed out that while liberals demand strict gun laws in cities like Chicago, the Illinois city saw 572 murders in 2018 alone. Moreover, according to the president, the murder rate in Baltimore is higher than that in the impoverished and crime-ridden Central American countries that so many migrants are fleeing from, such as El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras.

“Neglect and corruption and decay”

But the “neglect and corruption and decay” that Trump speaks of isn’t just confined to the East Coast and Midwest. Trump also drew attention to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s home state of California.

“The conditions in Nancy Pelosi’s once-great city of San Francisco are deplorable,” Trump said.

Indeed, the rampant homelessness in San Francisco and the nearby city of Los Angeles has led to the development of unsanitary tent communities where unattended trash and human waste have drawn rats and other vermin, causing what could arguably be called a public health crisis.

“What they are doing to our beautiful California is a disgrace to our country,” Trump said. “It’s a shame, the world is looking at it — look at Los Angeles with the tents and the horrible, horrible, disgusting conditions.”

According to Trump, it seems that Dems “care more about illegal aliens than they care about their own constituents” — a sad reality that conservatives know is sadly true.

“The Democrat record is one of neglect and corruption and decay, total decay,” Trump concluded. And it’s hard not to agree.
