Comedic actor Tom Arnold, perhaps best known for his real-life role as Roseanne Barr’s ex-husband, has allowed himself to be utterly consumed by his hatred for President Donald Trump, who he says “is changing everything about what we are as a country.”
Arnold, who is working with Vice as host of a new show called “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes,” ran into and posed for a selfie with former Trump attorney Michael Cohen on Thursday, then went on cable news Friday, with the bizarre claim that he and Cohen were teaming up against Trump. When pressed for details, however, the actor sidestepped, backtracked and simply refused to answer questions.

According to the Washington Examiner, Cohen himself retweeted the selfie without comment, prior to Arnold telling media outlets that he and Cohen would join forces in “taking down Trump together.”
That statement came during an interview with NBC News, in which Arnold discussed his new program for Viceland which features him utilizing his show business contacts to try and dig up incriminating or unflattering audio and videotapes of Donald Trump.
He insinuated that Cohen might “flip” on Trump and do an interview for the program, claiming of Cohen, “This dude has all the tapes — this dude has everything.”
But in a rather odd and rambling interview later on Friday for MSNBC, Arnold seemed exceptionally jittery and had difficulty answering questions in a straightforward manner. He also appeared to walk back some of his earlier assertions about Cohen.
He wasn’t finished there. Arnold also appeared for an interview on CNN, where he claimed to already be in possession of certain Trump tapes — though he wouldn’t confirm details — and suggested that he would be returning to the Regency Hotel where Cohen was located to “spend the weekend” with him, again intimating that they were working together.
However, he again refused to answer simple yes-or-no questions and his claims seemed far-fetched and unbelievable.
Arnold’s entire series of assertions and statements were then called into question when Cohen himself took to Twitter and denied that they had had anything more than a random encounter.
Cohen tweeted, “Appreciate @TomArnold kind words about me as a great father, husband and friend. This was a chance, public encounter in the hotel lobby where he asked for a selfie. Not spending the weekend together, did not discuss being on his show nor did we discuss @POTUS. #done #ridiculous”

In all likelihood, Arnold has absolutely nothing of substance on Trump and his “chance, public encounter” with Cohen was truly nothing more than that.
Tom Arnold has clearly allowed his Trump Derangement Syndrome get the best of him. It’s painful to watch.
