Sarah Sanders shuts down liberal reporter, slams Obama admin over ‘making up laws’

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

As was evidenced by the Virginia restaurant incident over the weekend, liberals really don’t like White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Their dislike of Sanders has nothing to do with their insistence that “she is a lying mouthpiece for a lying president,” but rather because she is tough and refuses to cave to the pressure from the liberal media and instead offers them the blunt truth during the daily briefings.

As reported by The Daily Wire, Sanders’ blunt manner was on full display Monday afternoon when the press secretary responded to questions about potential changes to immigration laws as they pertained to the illegal immigrant family separations at the border.

Ayesha Rascoe, a reporter for National Public Radio, referenced recent remarks from President Donald Trump about streamlining the process at the border so illegal immigrants could be quickly deported to their home countries with “no judges or court cases,” and asked what sort of plans the administration had along those lines.

Sanders explained how there are already “multiple instances” where illegal immigrants go through an “expedited removal” process, stating, “We’ve put out the things that we want to see in an immigration package, months ago. We’re still waiting on Congress to give us the ability to do that.”

Rascoe pressed, “So unless Congress acts, nothing is actually going to change. The administration is not changing anything right now when it comes to judges?”

“You mean, are we walking around making up laws? No, because we’re not the Obama Administration,” Sanders fired back in an obvious slam of the prior administration’s tendency to create or ignore laws as they saw fit.

“We’re enforcing the laws on the books. We’re asking Congress to do their part in the process and pass new legislation that will fix our immigration system,” added Sanders.

Rascoe seemed unsatisfied with that response though and continued to ask about potential action Trump’s people could take on their own, to which Sanders replied, “Things that we have the ability to do administratively, we’re working to do.”

“But again, Congress is the only one that has the ability to write law, and we hope they do that,” she added, again reminding everyone of how the Trump administration, as opposed to its predecessor, is intent on following the guidance of the Constitution in how Congress enacts and the Executive branch enforces the laws of the land.

Sarah Sanders refuses to play the liberal media games and she avoids getting bogged down by “gotcha” questions designed to embarrass the administration. It’s one of the main reasons we love and support her so much.
