Jeanine Pirro: Trump right to fire ‘arrogant, sanctimonious’ James Comey

There has been plenty of talk in recent months about the possibility that Judge Jeanine Pirro — who has been incessantly targeted by leftist activists hoping to silence her — would eventually be fired by Fox News for speaking too bluntly on certain controversial topics.

However, it was the employment termination of somebody else altogether — former FBI Director James Comey — that was the subject of Pirro’s “Opening Statement” on her highly-rated Saturday evening program.

Pirro: Trump was right to fire Comey

Breitbart reported that Pirro focused her attention on the recent Department of Justice (DOJ) inspector general’s report which determined that Comey violated several rules and regulations during his time heading the Bureau, a finding Pirro viewed as justification for President Donald Trump’s decision early in his term to fire the former FBI head.

“You know what? The president was right to fire you,” Pirro said to begin her commentary aimed directly at Comey.

“Everything you did while you were at the FBI was for your political and egotistical advantage, starting with announcing ‘no reasonable prosecutor would prosecute Hillary Clinton,’ to your arrogance with removing classified confidential information from the FBI and giving information to your pal in order to get it to The New York Times,” she continued.

She went on: “By doing this — you, one person, James Comey — you created havoc and chaos in this great country.

“But for your doing that, Robert Mueller would have never been appointed and America would have never had to endure the lies of Russian collusion that you and your pals in the FBI created,” she added.

Liars and leakers

Pirro went on to note that, despite the IG finding ample evidence of wrongdoing by Comey, the DOJ declined to prosecute the fired FBI chief over those particular violations, and further asserted that, in light of additional investigations into possible wrongdoing, the results of which are expected in the near future, Comey should not consider himself entirely out of the legal woods just yet.

“Don’t you dare tell us that we are the liars and the leakers, you arrogant, sanctimonious, condescending low-life,” Pirro said.

“You have been found to be a liar and a leaker and just because the Department of Justice is not prosecuting you on this, don’t think for one second that you’re home free, buddy,” she added. “Your lying and leaking shows your intent to take down Donald Trump and your abuse of our courts in order to do just that.”

Pirro is 100% correct to say that Trump was justified in firing James Comey in 2017, and truth be told, the president should have done it within the first few days of his taking office.

There is no denying that Comey bent and broke the rules to further his own political agenda and, hopefully, he will one day be held fully accountable for behavior that was and is completely unacceptable for a top federal official.

Should you get a reputation as a hack, your fellow comedians will disown you, and rightfully so.Dichotomy holds a Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance from Duquesne University, and has also produced a handful of operas. Critical reaction was mostly negative and while it did make over $21 million, it was well under the gross for Foul Play or Hawn’s box office hit from just a few months earlier, Private Benjamin.
