Nancy Pelosi dragging Dems down; less popular than President Trump

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Though she can be quite infuriating at times, many Republicans secretly love top Democrat and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi simply for her ridiculous gaffes which fuel GOP campaign ads.

Now a specially commissioned poll in Ohio revealed that Pelosi is far less popular or trustworthy than President Donald Trump, and that unpopularity and untrustworthiness may be proving a drag on her fellow Democrats in the electoral battleground state.

According to Breitbart, the poll was conducted by President Trump’s America First Action Super PAC over the last few days of May, and it provided dismal news for Democrats in Ohio.

One question on the poll asked respondents who they trusted more to lead the country, and Trump with a Republican Congress beat out Pelosi and a Democrat Congress by a margin of 45-35 percent.

Recall that Ohio was one of the those Rust Belt states considered part of the “blue wall” of Democrat states that Trump breached in the 2016 election, winning the state by a margin of 8-points.

The dislike and distrust of Pelosi appears to have bled over into other major races in the state as well, with the Democrat leader serving as an anchor on the popularity of her fellow party members.

An important Senate seat in the state is up for re-election in this 2018 midterm cycle, and while incumbent Democrat Sen. Sherrod Brown was initially considered a safe bet to retain his seat, that simply isn’t the case any longer.

Brown only led his GOP challenger, Rep. Jim Renacci, by a 4-point margin — 45-41 percent, with 10 percent undecided — well within the 4.9 percent margin of error.

Things actually look even worse for Democrats in terms of the gubernatorial race, as GOP candidate Mike DeWine — a former U.S. senator — holds a 7-point lead over progressive Democrat nominee Richard Cordray, former director of the scandalously left-leaning Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

While Pelosi’s unpopularity is no doubt a drag on Cordray, he could also be suffering somewhat from being linked with other top Democrats like Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren — who helped create the CFPB and placed Cordray in charge — and independent socialist Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Of course, neither Pelosi or Trump are technically on the ballot in Ohio in November, but it doesn’t take a political science degree to understand how different the direction of the country would be if Trump and Republicans maintained control of Congress versus if Pelosi and her gang of leftists regained control.

Thus, even as we sometimes might wish she’d just shut up and go back to San Francisco, we nevertheless must encourage Nancy Pelosi to keep talking about how she wants to raise taxes, ban guns and block Trump at every turn, as that is only hurting her Democratic comrades.
