The left has made it abundantly clear that they despise President Donald Trump and his family with such a passion that they’ll use any excuse to justify launching personal attacks against them.
So it is that when the president’s eldest daughter, Ivanka Trump, posted a beautiful picture of herself with her young son on social media, leftists descended with a fury to ruthlessly attack her in the comments section of the post.

According to Yahoo, Trump was accused of being “tone deaf” and heartless for having the gall to post the touching picture with her child while the children of illegal immigrants were allegedly being “ripped away” from their parents at the southern border.
That consistent narrative in the comments from outraged leftists stemmed from mass confusion and conflation on the left regarding two completely separate stories involving illegal immigrants.
The first involved their anger over a Trump administration policy to actually enforce existing law which required all illegal entrants into the country be prosecuted, even those who entered illegally as a family unit.
That mandatory prosecution meant children would be separated and housed temporarily by the Department of Health and Human Services while their parents were prosecuted, to be reunited once the process was complete.
The other, completely unrelated story that had leftists in an uproar was a report that roughly 1,500 illegal immigrant children — who had arrived as unaccompanied minors at the border during the Obama years — had subsequently gone “missing” by HHS after being released to sponsors.
In truth, those children weren’t really “missing” at all, but were most likely with their parents or relatives and had merely failed to respond to a follow-up survey by HHS in 2017.
But since when have leftists allowed facts to get in the way of their totally justified emotional outbursts?

All Ivanka Trump did was post a heartwarming picture of herself holding her son on Twitter, but to read the vitriolic remarks from hateful leftists, you’d think she herself was at the border “ripping away” precious children from their “innocent” parents … who’d crossed the border illegally.
This is the low that the anti-Trump left has descended to, launching horrifically spiteful attacks to malign and smear a mother and child over government policies she has absolutely nothing to do with.
