Brit Hume: Joe Biden’s gaffes ‘suggest the kind of memory loss associated with senility’

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Brit Hume thinks Joe Biden’s health is on the decline. The Fox host tweeted Saturday that recent gaffes and misstatements by the Democrats’ 2020 frontrunner “suggest the kind of memory loss associated with senility,” The Washington Examiner reported.

Biden’s latest gaffe occurred over the weekend when the former vice president confused his location in Keene, New Hampshire with neighboring state Vermont. “What’s not to like about Vermont in terms of the beauty of it?” Biden said. “I like Keene a lot.”

Hume also called attention to Biden’s August claim that he was vice president at the time of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida in February 2018 — during Donald Trump’s presidency — and two instances in which Biden named “Margaret Thatcher” when referring to then-British Prime Minister Theresa May. Thatcher was prime minister of the U.K. throughout the 1980s.

Gaffe Machine

Let’s face it, Biden was a gaffe machine even when he was vice president — but a vice president can get away with making mistakes. Remember Dan Quayle’s misspelling of potato?

Voters hold the leader of the free world to a higher standard, as well they should. And the list of Biden gaffes is getting so long now that we can barely cover the highlights.

Just last week, Biden said that 40 students were killed in the Kent State massacre, when only 4 were killed. He also incorrectly stated that Martin Luther King, Jr. and John F. Kennedy were assassinated in the 1970s, when both men were killed in 1968.

Keep in mind that it is still 15 months until the election. If Hume is right about Biden starting to go senile, how much worse could that get throughout his campaign and, if elected, his presidency?

“Don’t Vote for Me”

Biden is really the only Democrat candidate gaining any traction out of over 20 options right now. That’s because even though he has shown he is willing to be as radical as any of the other candidates, he has somehow maintained the perception that he is more moderate than the likes of Sen. Kamala Harris (CA) or Sen. Elizabeth Warren (MA).

But while Biden currently leads the pack, Democrats should be concerned about making him their nominee when he can’t even keep relatively unimportant facts straight. The fact is, Biden will be 78 by the time he would take office. No other president has been that old when taking office for a first term.

The prospect of a man so tired and weakened that he can’t keep basic facts straight as our president can’t be thrilling to a lot of Democrats out there. Whether Brit Hume’s diagnosis is correct or not, something isn’t right with Biden — and it’s probably only going to get worse as time goes on.

For his part, Biden doesn’t seem concerned about his many gaffes and mistakes. When he was asked Saturday about voters who may be concerned about his age, he said, “I say if they’re concerned, don’t vote for me.” Sounds like a plan.
