Nikki Haley dismisses ‘false rumors,’ pledges support for Mike Pence as Trump’s VP

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Almost immediately after he took office in January 2017, President Donald Trump started facing rumors that he was looking to replace Mike Pence as his running mate in 2020 — a rumor the president has repeatedly shot down.

Of course, that hasn’t stopped some from speculating that Trump may opt to replace Pence with Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. But now, Haley herself is setting the record straight: she supports Pence 100%, according to Breitbart.

Swapping out Pence?

Nikki Haley was a veritable rock star in the first two years of Trump’s administration. She took no prisoners on the floor of the U.N., never hesitating to call out world leaders for their anti-American and sometimes anti-Israel moves.

Her solid performance and utter fearlessness in confronting the globalists at the U.N. on Trump’s behalf likely served as the impetus for the rumors that she might replace Pence on the ticket in 2020.

However, Haley herself just shut that conversation down.

“Enough of the false rumors,” Haley tweeted Wednesday. “Vice President Pence has been a dear friend of mine for years.”

Rumor has it…

Haley didn’t specifically address the subject of the “false rumors” she was attempting to put to rest, however, leaving commenters on the post to run wild with speculation about what the actual “rumors” might be.

Still, odds are that she was referring to rumors about her vying for the vice presidency — which it seems she isn’t doing.

For her part, Haley has also been the subject of rumors about a potential primary challenge against Trump in 2020. She has split with Trump on some issues in the past, and was not a fan of Trump in the 2016 primaries.

However, Haley set whatever differences she had with Trump aside and accepted the appointment to be the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. in 2017 — a role in which she served admirably until her resignation in December 2018. And since then, she has remained an ardent supporter of the president — even if she isn’t afraid to call him out on his blunders.

If not 2020, maybe 2024 will be her year.
