Don Lemon is not a medical doctor, but you wouldn’t know it from his latest pronouncements.

Lemon, who regularly cavils against Trump from his spot as a CNN anchor, has never made a secret of his contempt for the 50% of Americans who voted for Trump. And now, he’s diagnosing them with “mental illness.”

The Washington Examiner reports:

CNN’s Don Lemon accused anyone who believes President Trump did nothing wrong in his dealings with Ukraine of suffering from mental illness.

“I have to say, at this point if you’re continuing to say that there was no, as they say, ‘quid pro quo,’ or the president didn’t ask — whether or not it’s impeachable, that is again not up for me to decide, not up for you to decide. That’s up for the Senate to decide and the American people,” Lemon said Wednesday night. “To deny that the president did not do something wrong at this point, it is … it’s mental.”

Lemon’s disconnected stream of consciousness ramblings are a prime example of the kind of word-salad that passes for cause to impeach. Schiff’s inquiry itself plays into this dynamic, as a parade of minor officials presents a confusing mix of testimony that illuminates nothing.

First it’s quid pro quo, then it’s bribery, then it’s abuse of power. Hearsay piled on gossip, piled on “overheard” phone conversations.

When the Democrats and the media can’t point to an actual crime, they create a confusing stew of rumors and opinions, and smear Trump because “the whole thing looks bad.”

And they say that Trump supporters are the ones that are “mental?”

  4. I’m impressed, I have to say. Really hardly ever do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you’ve hit the nail on the head. Your idea is excellent; the problem is one thing that not enough persons are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled throughout this in my seek for something regarding this.
