Bill Barr’s DOJ drops case against General Flynn

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

In a stunning move, the Department of Justice dropped its case against General Michael Flynn.

The Government has determined, pursuant to the Principles of Federal Prosecution and based on an extensive review and careful consideration of the circumstances, that continued prosecution of this case would not serve the interests of justice.
You can read the motion to dismiss the case here.

Attorney General William Barr explained why the Department of Justice dropped its criminal case against General Michael Flynn in an interview with Catherine Herridge, CBS investigative reporter.

When asked why the case was dropped, Barr explained the nature of the FBI’s investigation of Flynn. The DOJ found that the January 24th, 2017 interview with General Flynn was “unjustified” and done without any “legitimate” investigative basis.

…the Government has concluded that the interview of Mr. Flynn was untethered to, and unjustified by, the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation into Mr. Flynn—a no longer justifiably predicated investigation that the FBI had, in the Bureau’s own words, prepared to close because it had yielded an absence of any derogatory information.” Ex. 1 at 4,FBI FD-1057 “Closing Communication” Jan. 4, 2017 (emphases added). The Government is not persuaded that the January 24, 2017 interview was conducted with a legitimate investigative basis and therefore does not believe Mr. Flynn’s statements were material even if untrue. Moreover, we (do) not believe that the Government can prove either the relevant false statements or their materiality beyond a reasonable doubt.

Barr was even more specific in describing the January 24th interview of Flynn, calling it a “perjury trap,” which is what Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell argued while seeking to have the case against her client dropped.

Dems and MSM argue that Flynn confessed and must be guilty

If you have watched any mainstream media on the Flynn case, you will hear, “but he confessed to lying! therefore he is guilty and Barr is just a Trump toady!” But the truth is that the FBI laid a perjury trap. Flynn was asked a question which he answered tentatively, and James Comey charged him with lying because the FBI already had him under surveillance and had listened to the conversation they asked Flynn about.

They forced a confession from him by threatening his son. Forced confessions are something that totalitarians use to get rid of political enemies. The truth is that the mainstream media are guilty of being DNC toadies.

When Herridge asked what Americans should “take away” from this new development, Barr said he was worried that the American people see two standards of justice, and that federal law enforcement is being used to play political games.

Barr understands what plenty of Americans have been thinking. So far, there have been two standards of justice, as people like General Flynn, Carter Page, and Roger Stone are financially ruined if federal law enforcement targets them for political reasons, but law enforcement officials like James Comey, Peter Strzok, and Andrew McCabe seem to be above the law and run free and grow rich even when they admit that they lied, in some cases, under oath.

Encouragingly, Barr also said that the Flynn incident is just one of many related acts forming a pattern that the DOJ is investigating as a whole. Hopefully, they will get this work done before November.

Even though something stinks to high heaven…we have to be able to prove things beyond a reasonable doubt.” Attorney General Barr

Hopefully, the exoneration of General Flynn is the first step in a return to one standard of justice in this country. The next steps will be bringing the lawless “law enforcement” officials that ruined his life to justice.
