DNC vice chair demands Dems support ‘Medicare for All’ bill

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

One surprisingly positive aspect of the political left’s campaign of total opposition and #Resistance against President Donald Trump is that it has compelled them to drop their masks and reveal some of their true goals and intentions.

A rather significant goal of too many Democrats is socialism and they intend to coerce or force everyone to accept it, whether they like it or not, as was just recently stated openly by Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, who serves as the vice chair of the Democratic National Committee.

While speaking at the 2018 Single Payer Strategy Conference in late June, Ellison suggested that everyone running for office — especially “hand-wringing Dems” — should be asked about and pressured to support a national single-payer healthcare system that is essentially Medicare for all.

“We’ve gotta take the message beyond the folks who already know about it,” stated Ellison of his socialistic single-payer pipe dream. “It’s so critical.”

“We need to run ads pointing out to constituents people who are not on the bill,” he continued in reference to the Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act. The Hill reported in March that Ellison took over as lead sponsor of that bill after its former sponsor, Michigan Rep. John Conyers, resigned from Congress in disgrace because of sexual harassment allegations.

“I’m not saying lie, I’m just saying they’re not on the bill — ‘ya know that bill that’s gonna help you a lot, your congressman is not on it’ — just so you know,” stated Ellison.

“Some of ya’ll may be thinking, ‘oh Keith, how could you do that, this is wrong, this is not right, you’re putting too much pressure on them,'” he continued. “Well let me just tell you this — if you’re not ready to take the heat, you shouldn’t be in the kitchen.”

“Look at it this way … you’re actually doing some of these hand-wringing Dems a favor, because the bill is in fact popular, and people do actually like it, and even at the Chamber of Commerce, if you actually explain it, they will like it,” he said of his single-payer health care scheme. “But you gotta have the guts to get up there and explain it, and so you then can give them some of that power that they might be lacking.”

“I’m telling you we didn’t get up to the numbers we have now just because we hoped for it … there was a whole lot of calling and a whole lot of knocking and a whole lot of confrontations in public meetings that got us to where we are now, and if we’re gonna go forward, that’s what it’s gonna take,” he continued.

“Everybody running for Congress needs to get that question: Are you on (the bill) or are you not? That’s what we gotta do,” Ellison added.

So there you go, a prominent Democrat demanding all members of Congress, especially his fellow Democrats, be put on the spot about supporting a blatantly socialist Medicare for All bill, that us stupid people who reject it will somehow understand and come to embrace if it is simply explained properly to us. No thanks.
