Rioting and the 2nd amendment

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

It is time to draw some conclusions about the last seven days of uncontrolled rioting in major cities throughout the United States of America. There are many, but this article focuses on one that every American should draw.

The left is waging a war against citizens of the United States and the governors, the mayors, and the police are not protecting the citizens of their cities. At the point where the government is not defending the citizen, the second amendment and the need for citizens to arm themselves with guns becomes priority number one, because this violence disguised as protest is really a war against law-abiding citizens.

The left’s argument against owning guns, especially AR-15s falls flat in this time of crisis. They say that citizens don’t need “weapons of war” because the police will protect them.

Well, over the past seven days, we have seen thousands of businesses looted and many people injured or killed by these rioters, and the police did not stop them. People’s lives were in danger in the face of vicious rioters, without a policeman in sight to protect them.

For example:

A Rochester business owner,  armed with nothing, was viciously beaten by large male rioters.

This man, we now know, wasn’t a business owner, but he was in the business district in Dallas to help protect businesses.  After rioters threw rocks and bricks at him, he fought back with his sword, but it wasn’t enough. The rioters mobbed him, beat him bloody with a skateboard, and left him lying twisted in an unnatural posture on the ground. He survived the attack, but he could have easily been killed.

In another instance in Dallas, this man was unarmed when the rioters attacked him.

Business owners with AR-15s, shotguns, and handguns

On the bright side, if there can be a bright side in these dark times, there are stories of business owners protecting their businesses with guns, the great equalizers, which turn out a lot better for the businesses and owners, as even the rioters make the better choice to move on.

The armed business owner does the rioters a favor by changing their minds about committing crimes.

These armed business owners in St. Paul, MN stood outside their businesses advertising their ability to defend their stores.

Rioting and looting is widespread in Los Angeles, but these business owners had their shotguns ready for any trouble.

When looters were confronted by the owners of a cigar shop, armed with guns and big voices, they hustled right out and went on their way.

In another instance in Los Angeles, armed business owners, while trying to get the attention of the police, were able to dissuade looters. Sadly, when the police finally arrived, the defenders were handcuffed.

The importance of the 2nd amendment

Gun sales were already rising during the coronavirus pandemic, and these latest riots will only raise sales to new heights. Reasons for the 2nd amendment can’t be plainer than during these dual catastrophes.

Any person that can put two and two together realizes that their lives depend on themselves, not the police or the National Guard. This is not a Hollywood production, where law enforcement arrives just in time to save the citizen. Rather, your life and livelihood may depend on your having a gun and knowing how to use it.

  13. Today, while I was at work, my cousin stole my apple ipad and tested to see if it can survive a 25 foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My apple ipad is now destroyed and she has 83 views. I know this is entirely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
