Joe Biden’s racist past

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

If the Republicans want to defeat Democrat Joe Biden at the ballot box, they need to draw him out of his basement. For the last three months, Biden has been enjoying rising poll numbers because he is not campaigning. That is a winning strategy for Biden that Republicans need to disrupt.

Earlier this week, Terry McAuliffe, a Democrat strategist. rebuffed the idea that Biden should emerge. According to Fox News in a video conference with other Democrats, MacAuliffe said:

People say all the time, ‘Oh, we got to get the vice president out of the basement. He’s fine in the basement. Two people see him a day: his two body people. That’s it. Let Trump keep doing what Trump’s doing.

MacAuliffe knows what he is talking about. As long as Biden doesn’t have to make public appearances, he does well. It’s when he has to make statements and talk to journalists that he really gets in trouble. His library of verbal gaffes grows each time he speaks.

His latest tweet is a good example of how Biden sabotages himself. Biden likes to portray himself as an enemy of racism as defined by his own party and Black Lives Matter.

Biden Crime Bill

Regardless of how penitent Biden is, there is plenty of evidence that he is really that racist that Democrats, Antifa, and BLM revile in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death.  He authored the Biden Crime Bill back in the ’90s, the bill that imposed long sentences and contributed to the mass incarceration of blacks that Democrats now decry as systemic racism.

Well, the author of that systemic racism is Joe Biden. Here are a few of his justifications for the crime bill.

It doesn’t matter if they’re victims of society… I don’t want to ask what made them do this…They must be taken off the street…Children born out of wedlock, predators. Ready to knock my mother on the head, ready to shoot my sister… Madame President, we have predators on the streets. They are beyond the pale, many of them. We have no choice but to take them out of society.

The ACLU describes the 1994 crime bill as the attempt by the Democrats to prove they were tougher on crime than the Republicans. They even touted it in the 1996 Democrat platform:

Second, the 1994 law shaped Democratic Party politics for years to come. Under the leadership of Bill Clinton, Democrats wanted to wrest control of crime issues from Republicans, so the two parties began a bidding war to increase penalties for crime, trying to outdo one another. The 1994 crime bill was a key part of the Democratic strategy to show that it can be tougher-on-crime than Republicans.

Biden’s handlers have a strategy for dealing with his “tough on crime” past. Biden, penitent, admits that the bill was a problem, and his voters will forgive him. But Republicans need to press that it was Biden, a Democrat, that authored the bill that even the ACLU credits for mass incarceration of African Americans.

Republican strategy

Republicans need to continue showing Biden for the racist hypocrite that he is and force him out of his basement to defend himself and his record. If the mainstream media has taught us anything, it is to “say it loud and say it often” and people will begin to believe it, and in this case, they will be believing the truth. Joe Biden is everything the progressive left now repudiates.

Drawing out Biden to defend himself and repudiate his past can only benefit President Trump and the Republican party.
