Recently, one reporter asked press secretary Kayleigh McEnany how many dead bodies it would take for President Trump to claim success over the COVID-19 pandemic. But the “protestors,” Black Lives Matter, and the rioters should be asked, “How many dead bodies would it take for you to claim success in ending police brutality, white privilege, and racism?”
George Floyd unjustly died on May 25th in Minneapolis, MN while in police custody and the policemen responsible for his death have been fired and are being charged in Floyd’s wrongful death. It took four days to bring charges against the officer that kneeled on his neck, Derek Chauvin, and protests broke out in Minneapolis accompanied by rioting and looting.
Protests spread to other cities around the country in the past nine days and they have regularly turned into violent rioting at night in many cities. Many people have died or been injured in the “protests.”
Law enforcement deaths and injuries
So far, seventeen other people have died in the wake of Floyd’s death. Some like David Dorn and Patrick Underwood were killed doing their jobs protecting property. David Dorn was protecting a pawn shop in Las Vegas and was gunned down by looters stealing TVs. Rioters shot Patrick Underwood to death while he was protecting a federal building in Oakland, California.
Literally, hundreds of law enforcement officers have been injured while policing the demonstrations. Some slightly, and some very seriously. One officer was shot in the head but survived because of his helmet. Another officer was run over and suffered a broken pelvis. How many more need to die or be injured before the mob will be satisfied?
Peaceful protestors
A young woman, Italia Marie Kelly, a 22-year-old, was shot as she was leaving a protest turned violent in Davenport, Iowa. Her family is calling for the violence stop. Her sister, Jasmine Kelly explained:
I still believe people should protest, but if you’re going to do it, realize that you are not risking just police officers lives – you’re risking protesters lives, you’re risking young people’s lives who have goals, who have dreams.
Don’t let your belief in peaceful protest blind you to the actual violence of these “protests.”
Bystanders and business owners
38-year-old Chris Beaty, a successful black businessman in Indianapolis, with several nightclubs, was shot and killed near his apartment.
David McAtee was killed in Louisville, Kentucky, by a bullet meant for a rioter shooting at police and the National Guard. McAtee took a bullet when they returned fire. It is not clear what happened.
50-year-old Marvin Francois, a software engineer, was killed in Kansas City by three men trying to steal his Jeep. They shot him three times. He was a father of four, and an amateur photographer. He was documenting the protests before he was gunned down.
Violent protestors
One protestor in St. Louis, Missouri, Barry Perkins (29), jumped onto a Fed Ex truck and then fell between the trailers. He was then run over as the driver, unaware that Perkins was there, pulled away, fearing for his own safety. Perkins died at the hospital. The driver was stopped by protestors, two of which threatened him with a gun.
Black Lives Matter
Black Lives Matter has made many new converts to its cause throughout the protests, and the new devotees are putting pressure on friends and family to embrace the ideology of Black Lives Matter or be called a racist. BLM followers are busy trying to dox anyone that disagrees with them.
BLM is also calling to “de-fund” the police, which some cities are considering. The Democrats supporting the idea of abolishing the police seem to be unaware of the bind that puts them in. They have argued that people don’t need guns because the police will protect them. Look to see how they deal with this conundrum.
No end in sight
There doesn’t seem to be an end in sight, as people continue to protest, and it is becoming apparent that nothing short of the abolition of law enforcement will bring these “protests” to an end.
Would you consider living in a city without law enforcement? Will there be a mass exodus out of the Democrat-run cities where much of the violent protests occur?
