Michael Avenatti threatens conservative actor James Woods: ‘You will be next’

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

Former adult film star Stormy Daniels’ outspoken lawyer Michael Avenatti has revealed himself to be little more than a Trump-hating publicity hound in recent months — and conservative Hollywood actor James Woods had no qualms about calling him out on that over the weekend.

After calling Avenatti a “hot air balloon,” Woods received a threatening reply from the camera-loving attorney, who told the actor: “Keep playing games and you will be next. I promise.”

Blackmail

According to Fox News, Woods had posted a photo of Avenatti at the anti-Trump protest on Twitter, and wrote as a caption, “Oh, look. The real diapered, hot air balloon…,” a reference to the utter fail of a “Trump Baby Blimp” balloon that flew at the demonstration.

Avenatti did not appreciate the critique from Woods, and fired back a response on Twitter that came across as a threat of future legal action — in other words, Avenatti brought out the blackmail.

The attention-seeking attorney tweeted:

An empty threat?

It is unclear who or how many women have approached Avenatti about representing their #MeToo claims against Woods, or why they would be content with him sitting on their claims for an undetermined length of time while Avenatti waits for Woods to “keep playing games.”

It is also unclear how well Avenatti’s blatant threat of future legal action over unspecified allegations will go over with the courts and the Bar association, as the blackmail threat could be construed as a violation of the California Bar’s rules on professional responsibility.

Fox News has so far reported that only one actress — Amber Tamblyn — has leveled public accusations against Woods at this point. Tamblyn claimed Woods hit on her when she was only 16, an accusation Woods has flatly denied.

Avenatti’s brief heyday in the cable news limelight seems to be near its tail end — perhaps due to the slumping ratings of the perpetually anti-Trump media outlets — so this threat against Woods was quite possibly nothing more than an attempt to garner new headlines and additional attention.

But there has been no word on how Daniels feels about what her attorney said… or how he is sitting on supposed claims of other alleged mistreatment by other Hollywood women… or how her lawyer was off protesting in London while she was arrested at a strip club in Ohio for allowing club patrons to touch her.
