Trump was right: Alleged ‘Deep State’ operative now under internal investigation

Make sure to let us know what you think... we now have comments turned ON below the article!

President Donald Trump and his supporters have spoken repeatedly of a “Deep State” of unelected government bureaucrats and employees who are secretly working from within to sabotage and undermine the current administration and keep pressing the left’s agenda.

Though Democrats and the liberal media vehemently deny the existence of a deep state, recent undercover videos released by conservative activist watchdog James O’Keefe and Project Veritas proved otherwise — and a Department of Justice (DOJ) employee exposed in a recent sting is now the subject of an internal investigation.

The Hill reported that O’Keefe and Project Veritas released several undercover videos in the past few days as part of a series titled “Deep State Unmasked,” one of which featured a DOJ paralegal named Allison Hrabar.

Hrabar, who is a ranking member of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) party, bragged to the undercover journalists about the #Resistance to Trump inside the department, how it was virtually impossible for government employees like her to be fired, and how she was purposely misusing government resources to the benefit of the DSA.

Deeply concerning

The obviously improper behavior of this government employee has come to the attention of the department, and a spokesperson told The Hill in a statement: “These allegations are deeply concerning.”

“Department policy prohibits misuse of government resources to advance personal interests,” the spokesperson added. “We are looking into this immediately and have referred this matter to the Inspector General as well.”

In response to the video, the Washington chapter of the DSA did not deny that Hrabar was a member or that she’d done the things she was caught on camera doing, but instead sought to assail the credibility of O’Keefe and Project Veritas and claim the First Amendment protected Hrabar’s right to speak and associate freely.

“James O’Keefe and the wildly unethical Project Veritas have been discredited and dismissed by investigative journalists, congressional committees, and several courts,” the chapter said in a statement to The Hill. “This campaign, which wrongly targets both these dedicated public servants’ privacy and their freedom to exercise their 1st amendment right, is just the latest in a long line of failed political attacks from a group desperate to remain relevant.”

Not her first review

Incredibly, this is not the first time that Hrabar has come to the attention of the DOJ for her improper behavior. The Washington Examiner reported in June that Hrabar had been identified as one of the several DSA protesters who’d protested against Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen while the secretary was eating dinner at a D.C.-area Mexican restaurant.

Shortly after that incident, it was announced by the DOJ that Hrabar had been placed under internal review, though analysts and experts suspected she wouldn’t get in any real trouble over the stunt.

However, that internal review came prior to this latest video from Project Veritas, which exposed Hrabar’s misuse of government resources to advance her own personal interests, and those of her socialist group. She may not find herself so lucky following the conclusion of this internal investigation.
